Description

GVExc. This is a view of a now-rare habitat called an alkali sink. As you can guess, the soil is very alkaline; most plants just can't survive these conditions. The ones that can usually grow only in these places. The shrubs in this photograph are Allenrolfia, which has no discernable leaves, but green succulent stems.
